Easyfill, Polyfill, EasyPeasy fill, there are dozens of them. Instructions on the packet.
Useful tip - when dry, chisel off the worst lumps and sand down with 40 grit, then do it all again.

The main way of freeing yourself from clients is to make stuff off the peg for sale, instead of "bespoke". There is a huge market out there (most stuff is off the peg) and they just give you the cash and take away the item. No fitting, negotiating, other bolox. You become a manufacturer/retailer rat...

Ta.
Found 'Glasroc F Multiboard'. 6mm thick. Pricey - £30 ish 8x4'. Tried a piece out and it bends nicely - min radius 600mm which is OK. I need to get it sorted efficiently rather than bodging (as I would normally) as there are 10 of them and a door and a large circular window.

Anybody have experience of flexible plasterboard? I want it to go around semi circular curved window heads about 48" diameter and 18" deep.
I've phoned around but can't find a supplier so far but I know it exists.

Sounds OK. You could even heat the oil a bit to make it flow better. It might take some time to dry though. You might be better off just dipping them quickly. Keeping them in good nick has to be down to the user in the end.

In my experience modern paints don't stick too well anyway, however good the under surface. The paint itself is tough and even the flakes which fall off are still glossy! Re: Help from the professionals please!!!
Sugar soap is for degreasing and cleaning, nothing to do with smoking.
Does the primer stay well stuck? If no then it's inadequate preparation.
If it's only the top coats lifting maybe not enough time for drying, between coats?

You mean it's scraping off? If so could be due to not enough preparation. Probably would be better if it had been well washed with sugar soap and then (if at all glossy) lightly sanded when dry. So it's your wife's fault!

If they are going to get a lot of use there is no finish which will last long from new. I wasn't suggesting that a flat assembly surface is not a good idea - I think it is. Oops just checked the original - it's actually 25mm square finished (I was thinking ex) and the spacing is 4" centre to centre which means 3" between (less than building regs). The closer spacing will make it a bit stronger against impact etc.
