If your only doing small touch ups it's just a tuufff, look at how it turned out and then maybe another tuuffff, by the time you've looked at it your compressor will have caught up surely? You can by aerosols you can fill with you're own paint but I've never tried them.

I think that is probably a tinted high build PU lacquer. I think you will need to veneer the sides first to achieve the kind of look in the photo

Thanks guys, I was hoping to find out how they stood up to general wear and tear, whether they are too soft, too susceptible to water damage and the associated moisture movement. This customer is pretty careful.

Sometimes I want a hidden fixing. You wouldn't be able to fit it with a domino or biscuit jointer but it looks straight forward enough with a router. The cost of the cutter possibly will put me off for occasional use.

These guys do a 28mm one that is v. close to the retool one, they quoted me £80 for 50 meters from memory

There's nothing wrong with the way I was doing it Hammertime, but I have started using a taller cornice and a bigger block with the cornice profile on it. This has greatly improved speed but because it is so much bigger there isn't enough room under the block for my jig :-(. Which felt very safe to ...

I'm also using an HTE 2 and I'm pleased with the results. Mine hasn't got a cheater valve but with a gun mounted pressure gauge I don't find it lacking
