Definitely pitch pine. Its usually full of resin even the really old stuff. I take it by 'new' you don't mean new wood as its clearly been floorboards prior to you buying it judging from the diagonal nail marks through it. What are you talking about? Thanks folks, This job was about £36k not including the kitchen or fitting, but including extending the existing central heating, 3 new rads, and new electrics of the existing consumer unit, a new downstairs toilet and some other work. The Upstairs windows where existing, so not sure about cleaning ...

£1k-£1.3k m2 is about right, to finish to a decent level on a single storey extension, Cheaper for 2 storey.

I once ordered a about 1000 drill bits from worth, from hafele the cost would have been about £80-£100. I'm sure one or two forum members have the Hammer who will be able to offer a better review of the performance. As others have said the older Startrite models (and maybe the new ones) would probably do you and are well tried and tested machines.
