Thats a bit rich for that machine. I have an SCM minimax fs410 with the tersa block. Its OK but the lifting the tables and moving the thicknesser is a pita. I would pre drill them for a hefty dowel then cut them, them put the dowel in for the joint. Round spindles would be simpler.

Have you tried a bead of caulk round the edge and a quick wipe over with a damp sponge to fill the edge. I don't think brummer or the morells filler will too easy round the panel.

I'd be surprised if you got a price for hardwood boards. You would normally get a per cubic foot or cubic meter price. I never had much success with them. They tend to droop over time and trying to get them to sit nice on old walls is a nightmare. Another option is a bit of threaded bar resin anchored into the wall.

I really wouldn't be bothered about the provenance of the blade,it is there to do a job and more than likely it will only be doing it part time. Keep it sharp, keep working.

120mm forster bits are available. You could use one with an extension, I'd probably use my core drill to turn it.
The bits are about 80 euros for a cheapy over here.

I don't think so Bob. It is to do with the guarantee with the finished product. Hehe fabrication has to be done by an approved trained fabricator.

There are some chipboard core worktops with a thin layer of solid surface available. They were pretty expensive and I have never used them.
