Has anyone got a bottom head motor for a Sedgwick tenoner or knows anyone who can rebuild one? Sedgwick want an arm and a leg for one!

Hi

I have a 3 phase motor off a sedgwick table saw that I no longer need. It is 3kw I am sure instead of the 2.2 that is fitted to the tenoner. I will check tonight when I go up to the workshop tonight and let you know.

Is it a rewind you need If so i had a similar size motor done for my wadkin drill cost was about £150 should be someone local to you i would have thought. I also had the mechanical brake go on my sedgwick spindle and sedgwick wanted loads for a new motor but still cost over £200 to just repair the brake.

cheers

Thanks for that. The saw motor being 3hp dosn't matter I think it's the size and configeration that's the problem. The local/national rewind company couldn't deal with it as it seems the motor is unique to Sedgwick. Looks like I might have to fork out the £570.00

Thanks for that Mike. But no thanks. The motor I'm looking for is a square aluminium case and about 400mm long with a 30mm shaft. (there's nothing wrong with the photo It's quite clear it's not the one I'm looking for)

You certainly have a way with words don't you Inter, Mike has gone out of his way to help you and your reply looks like you are telling him off like a 5 year old child.

Mark.. I think there is a missing full stop. If you insert it then the sentences read differently.

there's nothing wrong with the photo It's quite clear it's not the one I'm looking for

Just a thought?

Roger

Thanks for clearing that up. The trouble with dashing off a quick reply. I expect my spelling is as bad as the puntuation. See
