Killing woodworm in a vacuum press

Post by Romis76 » Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:56 pm

Hi everyone,

Sounds a bit sadistic, however has anyone had any experience in doing so and did it work at all? Lol

The planks that I was hoping to use definitely have live woodworm inside and will fit into my vacuum press bag nicely.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum. I'm doubtful that anyone will be able to help you with this as most people who have timber with live woodworm in it would be more concerned about getting rid of it before it affected anything else that trying to save it. Any reason why you can't just treat the timber with chemicals and be done with it?

Thanks Steve. That was my initial thought too, but then I've had this ridiculous idea and wondered if anyone had any experience in this.
