Kitchen drawer boxes and crown moldings?

Post by Chems » Wed Aug 24, 2016 8:38 pm

Hi all

Long time no speak but I'm in need of the experts advice. I'm thinking of undertaking my own kitchen, I've no issues when it comes to carcass and doors but have no desire to make the drawer boxes or crown moldings myself.

Do you guys have any recommended suppliers for nice real wood drawer boxes, seen a few online but nothing beats a referral. Same question regarding crown moldings, I could just buy the crown molding from Howdens and sand and paint, especially helpful as there is one curved cabinet I want to attempt.

Thanks in advance!

When you say 'nice' drawer boxes. Do you mean a choice of timbers/dovetailed etc. or will oak and beech dowel jointed jobbies be ok? If so I buy my drawer boxes from Hafele depending on the job.

These mount on dynapro runners as well. Nice and simple. And the oak are finger jointed. Pre-assembled.

Thanks both.

I'd seen the Hafele stuff and thought it looked good.

@JonR, thanks for that link, exactly what I was after.
