They specifically ordered lengths of domino. Why not make their own in matching timber if they've got a thicknesser and router table? Shouldn't use beech dominoes for exterior work.

Made me laugh when they claimed a Domino joint was stronger than a traditional Mortice and tenon.
Thing is the channel often bangs on about "Cowboy" workmen and yet you have a couple of builders bodging out casement sashes with a f**king domino and they think thats fine... That said I can't wait for the next installment where they glaze them..

It's quite surprising what you can do with a router, PU glue and wood filler.

In my house one of the windows was obviously cocked up when they made it because they cut the tenon off and then just glued the opening light together. It lasted over 10 years and I only found out when I had to replace the glass and it fell apart so I should imagine these windows will last as long as any. Should have made their own dominos though rather than beech ones especially as they show at the edge.

It's good to see that others c*ck things up even when they have devised a foolproof system. I thought it was just me!
