Sharpening a 3ft Garlick one man crosscut saw

Post by Docjames122 » Fri Sep 27, 2019 8:12 pm

This is my Garlick one man cross cut saw. It got a bit damp a year ago when I didn’t know what I was doing and so I have just re-done the handle and the blade.

It’s not cutting well so I am trying to sharpen it, but I can’t work out which bits to sharpen.

Should 1 and 2 be sharpened on alternate sides using a flat file?

Should 3 / 4 be filed using the triangle file supplied from alternate sides?

I’ve been trying to find a video or online advice but am struggling - any help appreciated.

Thanks
