Circular saw?

Postby Meccarroll » Sat Dec 02, 2017 6:18 am

Hi all,

My old 110v Makita 190mm circular saw has just about given up and I need a new hand held circular saw. I have had the Makita saw for about 16 years so can't complain.

I am thinking about buying either a Bosch, Milwaukee, or Hitachi corded saw (I already have a battery saw).

Any one have any of the above and got any comment they would be willing to share?

TIA

Mark

I've never managed to break one of these, massive motor, great visibility when cutting jacks etc, not the nicest handle but at £99 I'll deal with that, I've used every make and have a dewalt, a makita and a metabo, (don't ask why) and if I wanted to get stuff done I'd pick this up every time!

The saw is rated to take a 185mm blade, I have quite a stock of 190mm blades purchased for my old Makita will the saw be able to use them?

Cheers for the reply Mark
