Chaps/Chapesses
I have one of those 900mm wide drum sanders of the Chinesium variety that is similar to the one axminster used to sell (same factory I expect) , I had managed after much cursing to get the thing working faultlessly, (I couldn't physically get a wide belt to the workshop to get it in!) but a short while ago a loading snapped on the rear rubber drum (front is steel) and got jammed under what was left on the drum.
This has caused an indentation in the drum that obviously telegraphs through to the work.
Has anyone had or get experience of, a conveyor belting/pulley specialist doing a vulcanised repair/resurface on one or something similar.
Hoping the collective knowledge has something to offer, other than spinning the thing up and going at it with a roughing gouge!
Keep up the good work
James

These can be done
I can’t remember who does them though, but was recommended through calderbrook woodworking machines. So perhaps a call to them?
