Indian Acacia

Post by Kgaltrey » Sat Sep 26, 2020 2:43 pm

We have an Indian Acacia table with a satin/matt clear finsish, however after about a year th efinsih is starting to lift, so obvioussly the original finishing was light or not very durable.

I would like to apply a new finish that will keep the original apperance but am confused by the products avaiable, the application advice etc.

A professional renovation costs almist as much as teh table itself cost, so would like to try the "safest" route for myself.
Picture attached.
My instinct is to look for a rub on application rather than brush as dont want to end up with brush marks or dog hair (lots of it about) settling on wet surface.

Any advice welcome, assume a low/moderate experience/skill level, and applying the finish at home etc
