Gentlemen,

Just a few piccies of my first BIG kitchen. (MASSIVELY cocked up on the pricing, but it's done now!)

Hacienda Black Carcasses

Quartered Rough Coat Oak veneer fronts finished with (Back to the 90's here ) Balck Ash pigmented stain and A/C lacquer

Snazzy foldy doors

Corian tops












A curvey Staircase thingy.





Simple in frame wardrobe, A/C lacquer with Grass Ironmongery. Easy enough when in it's not in the loft on the 3rd floor of a very narrow victorian house!

Love the kitchen and stairs, however the wardrobe is a massive disappointment because of missing knob top right door

I really did c*ck the pricing up, but it was such a nice job and a lovely customer, so you have to take it on the chin, luckily I only have to feed myself!

The missing knob I went back and changed all the handles for unfinished brass that I tickled with Gun Blue to age them as the rest of the house was flaky chic!

Kitchen is entirely my own design. The veneer came from Mundy's who must be one of the nicest companies to deal with, I ran the frame stock through the roughest blade Toughsaws could supply, but even that wasn't really rough enough, but no one has whinged!

The staircase is for an architect who I have helped build his last two homes. So I was only responsible for construction detailing on that. I agree with Tusses, the view isn't great but sites in South East London are like chickens lips, so you take what you can get, and most of the work goes in to securing the plot and permissions!

Thanks again guys, another kitchen underway and a load more wardrobes, and loads of silly bits and bobs in between!

could you "tweak" a blade with pliers or something to get the look ?

I've on'y ever done pine and have the woodyard resaw 2by's and use the cut edge

If an all black kitchen wasn't enough, I made a load of low level window reveal covers/board thingies, and am currently making/cladding two fireplaces and also a set of shelves... Despite the balck-ashness, it really suits the house.

You get a lot more stuff out the door than me, but I think you are right, got a dark oak table to make, and another kitchen in

(more dark dark brown)
