First proper kitchen finished

Post by davidpidge » Wed Dec 13, 2017 6:06 pm

I've just finished up my first full kitchen. It also included a utility room and was a lot more hassle than I'd anticipated. (No surprise there then!)

The corner worktop unit housed the fuse board and has space for a food mixer with a bifold door and lighting inside.

The left alcove has vegetable drawers with slatted bottoms (birch ply) and oak fronts. The cupboard above has pocket doors and hides the wifi phone etc. But I painted the inside as I knew it'd be left open most of the time.

Nice one David, I do like these painted shaker kitchens!
Out of interest what are the colours called?

Both little greene intelligent eggshell. Dark blue is 'basalt' and grey is 'french grey'.

Shame about the picture rotation problem but hope you get to the bottom of it for next time. For a first kitchen it all looks very classy and hopefully more orders should follow. I think the wood worktop looks really smart against the dark units and in photo 7 you give us a peek at the inside finish which shows very good detailing to my eyes. looking good for the future, well done.
