flexible plasterboard

Postby mrgrimsdale » Wed Apr 24, 2013 7:11 am

Anybody have experience of flexible plasterboard? I want it to go around semi circular curved window heads about 48" diameter and 18" deep.
I've phoned around but can't find a supplier so far but I know it exists.

I usually buy a 6mm board but it's not commonly available, or using 9.5 just cut a strip to the correct size and get it wet and lean it against a wall for half an hour and it soon forms a curve. If you then wet it up again you can usually get around a pretty good radius without it snapping.
Cheers, Matt.

Ta.
Found 'Glasroc F Multiboard'. 6mm thick. Pricey - £30 ish 8x4'. Tried a piece out and it bends nicely - min radius 600mm which is OK. I need to get it sorted efficiently rather than bodging (as I would normally) as there are 10 of them and a door and a large circular window.
