Cabinet Vision
Yo All
Thought I would show you how we do our drawings etc now - I am not exactly proficient in the use of this software but it does a job for us and does it well.
Its perhaps the most in depth and versatile software we could use for what we do and now knocks about 90% off the time it takes us to draw, present and manufacture our work.
Below is a link of what I have just done and this is a unit I will be making for my wife to keep the vacuum and ironing board in for under the stairs.
I will put a video up for making a kitchen too.

It will go into a lot of detail, but only have 5 minutes to show you.

What version do you have and how much? They tried to sell to me a few years ago but I just
couldn't get a cost of them.

hmmm well I have 2 seats
the training and all the integration into the CNC machines
It was 21k + vat
There are no finance packages available from Vero so I had to pay for it outright which hurt!!
I am currently a 3rd of a way through a Roll out Programme of 55 stores for BP Wild Bean Cafe's which wouldn't have been possible without this software in terms of lead in time etc.
I think for the package without the CNC Bolt on its 5k, this will produce cutting lists, rendered drawings, plans etc etc etc

Re: Cabinet Vision
sorry mark I gave up watching .. no time marker, so I didn't know how long was left ! .. do you have a finished render ?
Re: Cabinet Vision
Thanks Mark.
Way over what I would pay but I can see the worth with a contract like that.

Impressive software. Seems like it would pay for it's 5grand cost pretty quickly. Just working out cutting lists on different size sheet material would be incredible!

I wouldn't have won the contract if I couldn't have demonstrated this software to them - That's for certain!

LOL Bob, not quite the case judging by your new house, but I appreciate the sentiment.

I am unsure if the 5K version is worth it to be honest? The version I have is a no brainer because it generates the machine code for me.

Re: Cabinet Vision
Mark,
I watched all that video, truly brilliant, thank you so much for doing that, even though that it's the sort thing I don't think I could could ever look at getting involved in it is incredibly helpful to see what does what in the world of the bigger guys, just in case I decide to sell the house and go all out!
I actually think it's useful for me to see as I would up-sell the more 'timeless' (cheers Bob!) approach to the way I work.
Keep at it Mark, you keep me inspired if nothing else!

Inspired? I'm flattered but I'm unsure i inspire people.
I've been doing more work with it today, attempting a reception counter with it next week. That will be interesting the one lad who works for me and the frequent user of CV did it last time and it was awesome at how it all went together!!

90% time saved is huge. Nice of you to take the time to post this and explain some of the benefits Mark. Good luck with the rest of the project.
