I'm up for that, I am on a couple of forums which are quite active but mainly for site chippies which isn't really up my street and Brians Furniture one which is also good if not a little pretentious.

I think the unique potential of this forum/group is the trade bit .. I can see it working with a wider audience :-)

Many of us have been here for years ! I wouldn't (don't) like to see it fizzle out

Its slowly but surely going though (no offence admins) mainly because there are swifter ways to communicate on social media so people spend their time elsewhere - for instance if i want to post a photo on facebook/twitter/instagram I quite literally take photo and upload it, on here its much longer winded.

I would like to see a WWUK FB page, only thing is then you will know who I really am!!

FB is good for chatting but it doesn't make a good searchable archive for finding old posts re techniques, projects etc. (IMHO)

we can always link back to here Nick ,, and there isn't much new gold being deposited here lately

Some of the newer FB groups have options for files and documents, and searchable content. etc.

It's dying here alright, but the world centralising their beings on FB is stupid. They want to monetise your whole life and identity, and wait until they start really racheting that up.

I agree with you totally but I'm hooked but not on what people get up to, doesn't bother me. I like the fact that I have everything I like out in front of me.

So for instance

I follow numerous rugby teams on there
Woodworking stuff
Lots of golf things
Formula 1

So when I put the app on all of those things are in front of me without having to search - sad I suppose.

I like this website and I log on every day to have a look, so perhaps a FB group would be easier for me.

facebook is good, quick an easy but as nick said the knowledge alone in previous posts is worth its wait in gold and i for 1 over the years have gone back to old posts for a reminder or an idea of how to do something and it would be a shame to loose this. If both could be ran side by side then maybe but i think it would be a slow end to this site if that were the case.
