Hand plane identification - old Stanley?

i all, I’ve just picked up an old plane on Facebook marketplace and wanting to try and restore it. I thought it was a Stanley (the iron is a Stanley, possibly newer than the plane though) - I’ve went through the online flow chart identifier and it seemed like a type 4, but it has some unique features that don’t support that.

the handle has been snapped off at some point. There doesn’t seem to be a threaded rod or screw for the handle, but it seems to sit inside a recess, dovetail type slot.

The adjustment screw is also not a reverse thread, so you turn anti-clockwise to advance the blade.

Can anyone help identify the maker of the plane? It certainly seems like an old one. Handle is going to be a challenge to replace (I’m a bit of a newbie). Anyone refitted these handles before?

Would love to know more about this if anyone has seen one before.
