Hi, we have a very old, oak front door which was varnished and has turned very orange. I’ve removed all the varnish with varnish remover and sanding, and love the natural oak colour now but I know I can’t leave it like that.
Does anyone know what steps I need to take now to preserve its lively natural colour with no stain and prevent it going grey or orange again?
I was thinking of an oil coat followed by a Matt varnish but have no idea on good brand for this. Any advice much appreciated, I know very little about oak treatment!
