I have several varnished hardwood internal doors from the 1980s, each has 6 panels. I am trying to refurbish one which has a curved rebate around each panel, I thought a cove router bit would be ideal to run around the rebate to remove the varnish. I have measured the rebate cut out and found that the top portion cut away is 9/32” whilst the depth cut away is 5/32” which means not a true radius cut? Anybody got any ideas about the type of bit I require, preferably one with a bearing on it to run along the bottom edge of the rebate.
