Could be, because they make a completely waterproof MDF now, much more durable than exterior MDF but its £100 a sheet.

Building it at the boat yard where i moor my cruiser . Who knows how long it will take as we are just making templates right now . It takes up alot of room but everyone is keen to get it made .

These are all templates for the real thing . The plan is to build the hull out of cheap ply ( as you can see ) and then we have the templates and building jig for the real thing without wasting very expensive Lloyds approved marine ply . Get all the mistakes out of the way before we start if you like .

We are cutting up an outboard to power it . Untill the outboard is done we cant finish the hull as the motor dictates the shape of the hull .

I started work a while ago on a Glen Ski King which I stretched by one foot to fit the V6 Ford Essex Engine with a Velvet Drive gearbox. A house move has delayed progress for a while.
