Quick wedge cutting on doors??

Who has the best/quickest method for cutting the angles for wedges either side of the mortice? It's so laborious doing it by hand! A few hardwood doors and there's an hour gone on something I've always felt is made too difficult.

I once set up to do it on the morticer using roller stands at different heights. That was pretty effective and quick. Difficult on full length door styles though. A jig for the domino 700? Thai bird? Who knows. Love to here any tips

I've not tried it, but what about a power file ?

is it standard pratice to wedge like that ? you are describing what I know as a fox wedge, but not hidden.
I thought you just saw some kerfs into the tenon and the wedges tighten everything up ?

With a coarse belt, they remove wood quickly.

It's standard practise. I Mark 8mm either side of my mortice then with a chisel angle them inwards. The wedges can then drive the component forwards and tightening up

"tilting morticer" should do the trick......

That's what I used to do, all be it 20 odd year's ago ...
