I know Its sounds like I need to visit my GP but I have a case of buytl seepage

on some 8yr old South facing windows I made for a client. The window faces South and in the Summer when its hot the buytl tape I used at the time (no longer use it) seeps/oozies out on the inside of the window. I used it to bed the sealed units on.Its only on 1 window which is South facing and the other 6 windows are fine.It must be to do with the heat in the Summer as its only the South facing one thats affected.
Any ideas what I can use to hold it back?. I did wonder about using a single edged razor blade to trim off the excess and then caulk the gap between to unit and timber but not sure it will work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I no longer use and haven't done for a few years.
