We have a 70's style dresser, made with veneered ply no doubt that has seen better days. I want to sand it back (carefully) and re-finish it. What would be the best thing to use? Being a joinery shop and not a cabinet maker, my knowledge of finishing products is limited to say the least. We just Osmo the crap out of everything....
I presume there are people who have done similar...

sometimes a clean and oil is all that's needed

bad scratches .. filler sicks ?
do you want it to look "new" again ? etc etc.

Yes I suppose it was a bit vague.
It's not bad at all, just a little sun bleached with water marks and a glass ring or two.
Yes I would like it to look new again. I suppose its best to rub back, stain it a slightly darker colour and then a protective finish. But what finish?
Hardwood oil, PU, shellac? I suppose the choice is mine!
