Church Conversion

Hi, I am am member of this forum and ukworkshop. I am converting a church in a very traditional way and have done all the structural and "building bits" and now I'm on-to the fit out and joinery phase.....Door frames, doors, skirting, kitchens, cupboards , staircases etc etc etc

Because I don't have the money to pay others and the project is massive and all the stuff must be traditionally made, I decided I needed to buy equipment and do it myself...so have spent the last 6 months buying machines and setting up a workshop. Workshop is now ready .... (expect lots of questions)

Anyway, I get a lot from looking at other peoples work and found everyone on these forums to be very helpful so thought I would post up what I had been doing. The blog has been going over a year, so really needs to be read from oldest post first.

Thats what I told my girlfriend, but its been expelled to the workshop from whence in came !

Updated - Ive made some doors now. I cocked up one which I was very angry with myself with for, but you live and learn .

Its only taken me nearly a year but I finally finished all the doors and stained glass downstairs.

The roof beams look like they were worth the effort of stripping off the old paint. Great work so far

I used a sand blasting kit but with soda / glass - it's very gentle on the wood (no pitting) and is surprisingly quick !
